LONGWOOD, FLA (March 18, 2019) - Faded Spade®, the poker industry’s fastest-growing playing card company, will be back at Run It Up Reno in April.

Faded Spade playing cards will be featured at Run It Up Reno VIII’s live-streamed final tables and in all non-hold’em tournaments. Run It Up Reno VIII is hosted by Jason Somerville and takes place April 12-22, 2019, at the Peppermill Reno.

Now in its second year, the partnership between Faded Spade and Run It Up began when the two companies worked together to produce co-branded, four-color playing cards and feature these cards for the first time ever during the live play of a streamed or televised poker event.

Somerville has long been an advocate of four-color decks, stemming from his vast experience in the world of online poker and streaming, and had been searching for a manufacturer to produce a high-quality offering. At the same time, Faded Spade poker playing card customers were consistently asking for a four-color product, and production was scheduled. The timing was great for Faded Spade CEO Tom Wheaton to work closely with Somerville to launch the new Faded Spade 4Color card product.

The decision was met with high praise from Faded Spade customers around the world, and it has allowed Somerville to take four-color cards, which he feels are one of the great features to playing online poker, and implement them into live poker play.

“We look forward to using Faded Spade cards at Run It Up Reno VIII and continuing to build our partnership with this great brand,” Jason Somerville, Run It Up founder, said. “The quality of the cards is tremendous, and Faded Spade allows Run It Up to offer premium four-color decks both in our events and through the Run It Up store, which is something I’ve wanted to do for years and was finally able to make it happen thanks to Faded Spade. It’s clear that Tom Wheaton had the modern poker game and player in mind when developing the cards, and Run It Up is proud to partner with Faded Spade.”

“Jason Somerville, the Run It Up brand, and Run It Up events are at the top of the poker game,” Tom Wheaton, CEO of Faded Spade, said. “We could not be more thrilled to see Faded Spade cards featured at Run It Up Reno VIII and for our partnership to reach the next level. Run It Up is as passionate a brand and community as poker has ever seen, led by the tireless efforts of Jason and his team. As someone who has competed at Run It Up Reno, I can confidently say that Run It Up’s dedication to the experiences of poker players and fans is paramount, and the environment is truly one of a kind. I highly encourage players to attend a Run It Up event in the near future.”

Run It Up Reno VIII takes place at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino from April 12-22. At the last Run It Up Reno series, a record-setting number of competitors participated across a wide variety of events. Matt Stout topped a field of 687 entries in the $600 Main Event to score $70,000, and Wheaton cashed in 93rd place for $1,020. The full event schedule for Run It Up Reno VIII will be released soon.
